Originally, The Palmer Mill was built by George Palmer, circa 1800s. The replica you see in the pictures today is the culmination of tremendous efforts throughout our community. Actually, the building itself is a showcase to the tremendous talent, skill and dedication to heritage, which exists throughout our region. Every stone and every board demonstrates the riches which abound in this Applachian paradise.
The Palmer Mill Playhouse is committed to the promotion of live theater through community involvement. Performances are staged using volunteer performers and artisans from our own communities. Everyone is invited to participate. Share your talents....be a Palmer Player.
Our list of contributors ranges from government bodies to individual citizens and corporate entities. Through their generous donations of funding, time, and effort this beautiful facility has risen from the grave....ready for excitement and intrigue.
We still have much more to accomplish. Your help and support have brought us many miles, but the road is still long. Together, we will "keep the wheel a turnin".
